Lou, Lynne, Hope and I (Ann) just returned Sunday from the inaugural voyage of the Norwegian Epic. We are very eager to let you know our impressions. NCL is touting the Epic as the "next generation of cruising," and it lives up to all the hype. I want to share just a few of the Epic's ground-breaking features:
All outside cabins have balconies
Single cabins/ NO single supplement
Villa Suites accessible only by private elevator with exclusive pool, sundeck, gym and concierge lounge, restaurant & bar
21 dinning options- 10 included in your cruise at no extra cost
The biggest casino I have ever seen at sea
An Ice Bar (one of only 14 in the world) where everything is made of ice (It is 17 degrees and you wear special parkas and gloves inside. It's a hoot; we did it!)
Heaps of Entertainment at no extra cost! Here are just a few examples
-Blue Man Group
-Cirque Dreams- a Cirque du Soleil dinner theater
-Fat Cat's a Jazz/Blues Club
-Nickelodeon with Sponge Bob Square Pants and a lot of other characters I didn't recognize-
but the kids sure did!
A water park with 3 amazing slides including a giant bowl slide. Lou was going to do it but she chickened out.
The largest spa at sea and a world class fitness center
A climbing wall AND a rappelling wall
PLUS LOTS, LOTS MORE!
We were only on the ship for two nights, so I just scratched the surface of the good times to be had aboard the Norwegian Epic.
